Senior Manager, Japan - Energy Transition

Minako is Senior Manager, Japan – Energy Transition at AIGCC. She is responsible for developing and implementing AIGCC’s energy transition initiatives across all programs in Japan. She collaborates closely with policymakers, domestic and international investors, and other stakeholders to achieve AIGCC’s mission of energy transition.

She joined AIGCC in January 2025, bringing 17 years of experience in ESG and sustainable investment from her roles at an ESG rating agency and asset management companies.

Before joining AIGCC, Minako held leadership positions in ESG and sustainable investment at asset management companies. She worked as a Sustainable Investment Officer at Asset Management One for three years and as a Senior ESG Investment Manager at Nomura Asset Management for one year.

Prior to these roles, she developed her career as an ESG analyst at MSCI ESG Research in Japan starting in 2007. Over her 13 years at MSCI, Minako served as Head of ESG Japan Research Executive Director, overseeing ESG ratings and research with Japan coverage and was involved in developing ESG indices and ESG knowledge sharing with investors in Japan.

Minako is one of the founding members of the Sustainable Investment Forum Japan and is a Co-Head of Women in ETF Japan Chapter
