We are an initiative to create awareness and encourage action among Asia’s asset owners and asset managers about the risks and opportunities associated with climate change and low-carbon investing. Our members manage more than $35 trillion globally. AIGCC members come from 11 different markets in Asia and internationally and include asset owners and managers. We are a not-for-profit organisation. Our work is funded by members’ fees, philanthropy, partnerships, and sponsorship from supporters who understand the power of capital to support climate action. A trusted forum for investors active in Asia AIGCC provides capacity and a trusted forum for investors active in Asia to share best practice and to collaborate on investment activity, credit analysis, risk management, engagement and policy related to climate change. With a strong international profile, AIGCC also engages with government pension and sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and endowments, AIGCC represents the Asian investor perspective in the evolving global discussions on climate change and the transition to a net-zero emissions economy. We collaborate with global peer networks The Global Investor Coalition on Climate Change comprises AIGCC in Asia, our sister network, the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) in Australia/New Zealand, and similar investor organisations in Europe (the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change), and North America (Ceres). We also run certain collaborative initiatives with global investor networks CDP, PRI, and the UNEP-FI. International initiatives Climate Action 100+ Climate Action 100+ is an investor-led initiative to ensure the world’s largest corporate greenhouse gas emitters take necessary action on climate change. AIGCC runs the Asian Utilities Engagement Program which complements and runs in parallel with the global Climate Action 100+ initiative.
