Hayli Chiu

Analyst, Corporate Engagement, Climate Action 100+

Hayli is responsible for coordinating corporate engagement projects as part of the global Climate Action 100+ initiative. AIGCC is one of the founding partners of Climate Action 100+.

Before joining AIGCC, Hayli was a research analyst at the Transition Pathway Initiative, where she conducted carbon performance assessments of the energy, industrials and materials, and transport sectors. She also worked on the carbon performance methodologies for the autos and other industrials sector. She contributed to the formation of TPI’s online tools, publications and presentations, and thereafter communicated these developments to TPI’s internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to that, Hayli was an associate of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association, where she worked with related regulatory bodies and industry participants to ensure proper representation of investors’ views in the development of ESG rules and regulations. She has also interned at EY in their Climate Change and Sustainability Services Team in Hong Kong, as well as the Ministry of Environment Japan, Regional Decarbonization Group.

Hayli holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Master’s Degree in Sustainability Science from the University of Tokyo. She is fluent in Cantonese, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, and English.
