Joy Wang

Joy is based in Hong Kong and is responsible for engaging with investors to address Asia’s energy transition challenges in high-emission sectors. She supports the implementation of the Asia Utilities Engagement Program, the Energy Transition Working Group and Climate Action 100+.

Before joining AIGCC, she was a senior commodity product specialist at Bloomberg for over three years. Joy has been leading campaigns that advocate for Asian investors to incorporate carbon emission considerations into their investment strategies. She educates and advises Chinese financial institutions on adopting and navigating sustainable energy practices and ESG initiatives. Her unique experience and passion enable her to align global environmental objectives with strategies that are tailored to Asian markets.

Joy is selected as a climate finance fellow by IREX. She holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics and Statistics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
