The Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC) and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) jointly invite you to a webinar exploring how financial institutions in Asia are responding to nature-related risks and getting started with the TNFD recommendations and approach.
Nature underpins life, supports climate mitigation, and sustains economies. Yet it is being degraded at an unprecedented rate, placing 53% of the Asia Pacific economy at risk, according to a recent report by AIGCC. While a shift toward a nature-positive future presents growing business and investment opportunities, a significant financing gap remains.
As awareness of nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities increases, more financial institutions across Asia are adopting TNFD recommendations. This is a key step for financial institutions moving beyond awareness and integrating nature into their financing processes.
AIGCC and TNFD jointly invite you to a webinar exploring how financial institutions in Asia are responding to nature-related risks and getting started with the TNFD recommendations and approach. The session will provide foundational insights into how financial institutions are assessing and integrating nature into their business in the regional context, highlight the financial value of addressing nature-related risks, and identify remaining gaps for effective integration into business and finance.
A panel consisting of representatives from financial institutions and climate finance experts will also discuss:
- The increasing prioritisation of nature by financial institutions in Asia and pathways to drive deeper integration of nature into overall strategy/risk management.
- Approaches taken by financial institutions to quantify and incorporate nature-related risks and opportunities into their business.
- Key challenges and barriers to mainstreaming nature considerations within financial institutions across Asia.
