The Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC) is an initiative to create awareness and encourage action among Asia’s asset owners and financial institutions about the risks and opportunities associated with climate change and low carbon investing. AIGCC provides capacity and a trusted forum for investors active in Asia to share best practice and to collaborate on investment activity, credit analysis, risk management, engagement and policy related to climate change.
AIGCC members come from 11 different markets in Asia and internationally and include asset owners and managers with a combined AUM of over US$32 trillion. With a strong international profile, the AIGCC network also engages with government pension and sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and endowments, AIGCC represents the Asian investor perspective in the evolving global discussions on climate change and the transition to a net-zero emissions economy.
AIGCC’s work
With a strong focus on international engagement, AIGCC participates in international collaborations to engage with global and regional investor organisations.
AIGCC develops resources for investors, such as tools and guides to address specific investor needs around integrating climate change into investment processes and portfolios. AIGCC also collaborates with global investor climate networks to develop new research.
AIGCC membership includes access to various working groups and global initiatives on the climate agenda. AIGCC members can participate in:

- Maintaining a peer-to-peer network through regular participation in the group
- International collaboration with access to projects and initiatives such as the Climate Action 100+, The Investor Agenda, Net Zero Asset Managers initiative, and the Paris Aligned Asset Owners Initiative etc.
Our 2025 goals
AIGCC aims to influence regional investors to achieve the ultimate outcomes of:
- Increasing investment in net zero emissions energy
- Accelerating portfolio decarbonisation (including using tools such as investor climate action plans and company engagement to improve business models)
- Advocating for stronger climate policies and a greener trajectory of economic development in their respective markets that align to the Paris Agreement goals
